News reports emanating from Pakistan suggest that the police in the country’s Punjab province may launch a 'grand operation' to arrest the 'terrorists' allegedly holed up in Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence.

Geo News quoting sources reported that the grand operation may begin once the 24-hour deadline given by the police ends.

Reports said all roads leading towards Zaman Park have been blocked and a heavy contingent of law enforcement has been placed in the area. The Punjab government had given a 24-hour ultimatum to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran to hand over the 'terrorists' who had taken refuge in the former prime minister’s home.

The local government has however claimed that it has no intentions of arresting Imran.
