Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested after being found guilty in the Toshakhana case on 5 August.
Khan, 70, was arrested from his residence in Lahore by Islamabad police in coordination with the Punjab police after the court verdict, his family said.
Meanwhile, Khan's party PTI has called the court's decision 'biased' and has decided to challenge the district court's order in Higher Court.
Speaking to Geo TV, party Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi rejected the conviction and said "much-feared" ruling by a trial court was premeditated.
Khan was convicted in the Toshakhana case which was filed last year on the complaint of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) which had earlier disqualified him in the same case.
