A violent storm hit the French capital on Tuesday, with heavy rainfall disrupting metros, major train links and traffic.
Winds over 100 kph were recorded at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Streets in Paris were flooded, and rainwater was seen gushing down metro station stairwells.
The dramatic downpour put an end to weeks of a historic heatwave that left much of France parched, rivers dry and dozens of villages without running water.
