General Pervez Musharraf who passed away at a Dubai hospital on February 5 was suffering from an ailment called amyloidosis and was in a critical condition with no possibility of recovery.
What is Amyloidosis?
Amyloidosis is a rare disease that occurs when an abnormal protein called amyloid builds up in organs and interferes with their normal functioning.
Musharraf was diagnosed with the life-threatening disease in 2018 in the UAE and his organs were malfunctioning due to the condition.
His family had earlier confirmed that the ex-general is in hospital and his recovery is not possible.
