Russian Sukhoi-24 Aircraft Pound Syrian Rebel Group After They Took Over Assad-Controlled Areas

Russia and Syrian airforces carried out Joint Airstrikes in Idlib after the Militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham launched a surprise attack in President Bashar Al-Assad's control territory. Around 30 airstrikes were carried to stop the rebel group HTS's advance to Aleppo in Syria.  Syrian Sukhoi-24 aircraft targeted Turkey-backed SNA, HTS, vehicles resulting in casualties: report.

The Syrian rebel forces attacked the military in a major offensive since the 2020 ceasefire truce. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham or HTS attacked Aleppo and took control of 10 areas.  Rebels advanced 10 km from Aleppo's outskirts, near 2 Hezbollah-dominated towns.  Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group, allies ‘captured’ Syrian army weapons depot vehicles.
