Pope Francis at his general audience in Saint Peter's Sqaure at the Vatican on Wednesday advised Catholics to stay away pornography.
"Sexual pleasure is a gift from God' but Catholics must avoid pornography, The Guardian quoted the Pope as saying.
He also said that sexual pleasure is something to be cherished but it was being 'undermined by pornography'. The Pope added that 'satisfaction without a relationship can generate forms of addiction'.
The Guardian reported that the Pope's words were in response to his conservative criticis who expressed outrage last week after a book featuring sexually explicit content written decades ago by the Vatican’s head of doctrine resurfaced.
