Amid the desperate push to locate the submersible that went missing on its way to the Titanic wreckage, new information has come to the fore.

As per a New York Times report, Wendy Rush, wife of Stockton Rush, the pilot and CEO of OceanGate is actually a descendant of a couple that died when the oceanliner sank in 1912. Both were first-class passengers, as per historical records.

Rush is the great-great-granddaughter of Isidor and Ida Straus. Isidor Straus was a co-owner of Macy’s department store

Rescuers have rushed more ships and vessels to the site of the disappearance, hoping underwater sounds they detected for a second straight day might help narrow their search in the urgent, international mission.
