Donald Trump’s campaign team has come to the defence of ex-president's ‘visited Gaza’ remark. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has come under fire for saying that he’s been to Gaza during his term as the president. In an interview to to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump said that he went to Gaza when he was the president of United States. But several US media has fact-checked Donald Trump's claim, saying that he ‘never went to Gaza’. The New York Times, Washington Post and CNN were amon the media outlsets who rejected Trump's claim, saying that there is no record of any such trip. Even the Jewish media refuted Trump's claims. But Donald Trump’s campaign team has insisted that the Republican nominee did indeed visit Gaza during his tenure as the president.
