The death toll from the February 6 earthquakes which shook Turkey and Syria and left a trail of devastation has crossed the 37,000 mark.
Over 31,500 people have been killed in Turkey, while more than 5,800 people lost their lives, as per officials.
As per a report by Al Jazeera, the UN sought permission from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to deliver aid to rebel-held northwest Syrian region, a move which has been widely criticized.
