In what could be a major embarrassment for the Pakistan government, social media giant Twitter has reportedly changed the location of users in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir to Jammu and Kashmir in India.

When the location feature is turned on by users in Gilgit-Baltistan, their tweets are being shown as originating in India, as per Pakistani media outlet Dawn.

Additionally, access to the Pakistan government's official Twitter account has been blocked in Gilgit-Baltistan, the report said.

Authorities in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir called the claims "baseless".
