Ukrainian officials say a Russian strike has hit a children's hospital and maternity facility in the besieged south-eastern port city of Mariupol.
According to the Ukrainian officials the attack wounded at least 17 people.
Reacting to the airstrikes, Ukraine President Zelenskyy tweeted, ‘Mariupol. Direct strike of Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage. Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror? Close the sky right now! Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity.’
Mariupol City Council shared a video showing the aftermath of the strike, with the building in ruins and cars burning.
The damage was colossal, it said on its social media
