In yet another blow for Moscow, a Russian general has been killed in eastern Ukraine. The report published by state television reporter Alexander Sladkov on Telegram, however, did not say where and when Major General Roman Kutuzov was killed.
Russian forces have intensified fighting around the town of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Donbas region which is Moscow's current target.

Russian defence ministry is yet to comment on the reported casualty.
Russia's last updated figures of casualties sustained were released last on March 25, a month since the start of its military campaign.
