A Texas woman was awarded $1.2 billion in damages after she sued her former boyfriend who allegedly shared her explicit photos on porn websites.
The woman filed a harassment lawsuit in April 2022. According to the BBC her former partner Jackson spread her intimate photos on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
The woman further alleged, the man sent the stuff to her family and friends via Dropbox.
The BBC report quoting the woman's lawyer said, that Jackson posted the pictures "to inflict a combination of psychological abuse, domestic violence and sexual abuse".
The accused Jackson, violated Texas’ revenge porn law, said a Houston jury, who in turn directed the culprit to pay the woman for mental anguish and punitive damages
