With the Russia-Ukraine war stretching on for the third month, Kyiv claimed to have destroyed two Russian patrol boats in the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian defence ministry released a bird's eye view video of two boats being hit by drones. Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones were used in the strike, Kyiv claimed.
The two boats allegedly destroyed in the latest attack were Russian Raptor-class vessels. These are fitted with machine guns, and mostly used for reconnaissance or landing operations. Raptor boats can carry up to 20 personnel.
Ukrainian authorities said the attack occurred near Snake Island, off the southwest coast of Ukraine. Snake Island grabbed headlines early in the war when Ukrainian troops stationed there told Russian warship Moskva to "go to hell" when asked to surrender.
Recently, the Moskva warship sank in the Black Sea. Ukraine claimed to have hit it with Neptune anti-ship missiles, but Russia said a fire broke out on the vessel.
