Video: wounded Imran Khan waves to supporters after assassination bid

A video released by the Pakistan Tehreeq-e-Insaf shows its chairman waving at his supporters as he is being taken to a hospital. 

The 11 second video shows Imran dressed in black clothes waving to his supporters who are heard shouting religious chants. 

Imran was shot in the leg in an apparent assassination attempt during a protest march in Wazirabad on Thursday.

No group has claimed responsibility for the shooting. Imran was traveling in a large convoy of trucks and cars heading towards the capital, Islamabad, as part of his campaign aimed at forcing the government to hold early elections.

He with later seen with a bandage on his foot. He was moved to another vehicle from his container truck, from where announcements were being made that he was safe.
