Amid his campaign to become the next UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak is in news now for performing 'Gau Puja', or cow worship.
In a viral video, the Indian-origin Conservative Party member, is seen performing 'Gau Puja' along with his wife Akshatha Murthy, the daughter of Infosys founder NR Narayanamurthy.
Cow worship is a Hindu ceremony largely performed on auspicious occasions in India.
This is not the first time that Sunak has flaunted his Hindu roots. He has participated in Janmashtmi celebrations, and also took the MP's oath while holding the Bhagavad Gita.
