In perhaps a never-heard-before incident, a newly wedded couple in US missed their own reception after getting stuck in a hotel elevator for two hours.
Victoria and Panav Jha on their way to the reception party, which was on the 16th floor, took the lift and got trapped between the ground floor and the first floor.
After failed attempts to repair the lift, a team of firefighters was called to the scene, which opted for a rope rescue.
Besides the bride and groom, there were four other people in the elevator including bride's sisters, all of whom were pulled out using a rope.
Posting a picture with the newly weds, Charlotte Fire Department shared about this unusual rescue operation which they captioned 'Wedding Night Rescue.'
