There have been heart-warming images of owners refusing to leave their pets behind as they flee warn-torn Ukraine.  The Russian invasion of Ukraine has not only displaced humans but it has also put lives of animals in peril. 

In Kharkiv, a cat got trapped in a rubble after Russia's missile attack. Later the cat was spotted by a Ukrainian Emergency service workers who removed the wreckage and rescued it.

A heart-touching video of the cat's rescue operation has gone viral after Ukraine's Emergency Services posted it on social media

According to emergency service workers, the cat was handed over to a woman who offered to take care of it.
