Watch: heavy turbulence on Air Europa flight throws man into overhead bin, 30 injured

In a shocking incident, an Air Europa Boeing 787-9 flight met with heavy turbulence on July 1. Due to that, the flight made an emergency landing in Brazil. Around 30 people suffered injuries.

A video has gone viral, showing passengers being thrown out of their seats due to the turbulence, with one man getting stuck in an overhead bin. 

The flight left from Madrid-Barajas Airport in Spain and was on its way to Carrasco International Airport in Uruguay. 

Passengers shared the video of the aftermath and damage caused due to the heavy turbulence. 

Following the incident, Air Europa released a statement stating that the flight landed without any issues and people were being treated for injuries of varying degrees.
