A press conference by the Russian foreign minister deteriorated into name-calling and insults after a journalist with an American media outlet tried to ask questions.
When Matthew Chance of CNN asked Sergey Lavrov about Moscow's plans, the Russian minister said that the journalist was asking questions out of turn as he was "infected with discourtesy" by being in Ukraine.
Maria Zakharova, the Russian foreign ministry spokesperson, jokingly called it America's "promised cyber-attack".
Chance was reporting from Ukraine capital Kyiv which was targeted by Russian forces on February 25. An advance saboteur party of Russian forces reportedly entered the city, and explosions were heard from the city centre. Missiles also reportedly hit the capital as Ukrainian authorities asked residents to fight off the invaders with Molotov cocktails, or petrol bombs.
