The US has released a minute-long video which it claims shows a Russian Su-27 jet dumping fuel on its MQ-9 drone over the Black Sea on March 14 and conducting what it called 'an unsafe/unprofessional intercept'.
The video posted on Twitter by the US European Command, shows the Russian jet approaching the US Air Force's unmanned drone and releasing fuel just as it passes over it.
The video transmission suddenly stops and when it resumes the propeller of the drone can be seen intact. Meanwhile, the Russian jet begins its second approach towards the drone. It again passes over the MQ-9 dumping more fuel. The video transmission is lost again and when it starts again one of the propellers could be seen damaged after the second manoeuvre.
The US claims it was forced to crash the drone due to what it called 'reckless' manoeuvres by Russian jets.
