Amid military tensions with India in Ladakh and a war of words with the US, Chinese President Xi Jinping has asked his troops to "prepare for war", state news agency Xinhua reported on Thursday. "Troops should "maintain a state of high alert... Put all your minds and energy into preparing for war," Xinhua quoted Xi Jinping as saying. The president was further quoted as telling his troops that soldiers should be "absolutely loyal, absolutely pure, and absolutely reliable". The Chinese President made these remarks during his visit to Marine corps of PLA in Chaozhou City.
