XI writes to Modi, offers help to fight Covid-19 crisis in India

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday expressed serious concern on the coronavirus pandemic in India and offered to help fight the outbreak in a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 Official news agency Xinhua quoted Xi as saying that China is willing to strengthen anti-pandemic cooperation with India and provide support and help to the country.

Chinese state media said the first batch of 25,000 oxygen concentrators pledged by Beijing to India also arrived Friday. The reports said China has already sent 5,000 ventilators and 21,000 oxygen generators to India.
