Yuvika Chaudhary put behind bars for using casteist slur in a video

Big Boss 9 contestant Yuvika Chaudhary was arrested by the Haryana Police on Monday for using a casteist slur in a video which went viral on Twitter, earlier this year.

An FIR was lodged against the actor based on a complaint by a Dalit rights activist in May. Yuvika was later released on bail, following an order from the Punjab and Haryana court.

Yuvika had shot the video with her husband Prince Narula which received flak from many social media users for the abhorrent use of the language. Soon after the video went viral, the netizens started trending #ArrestYuvikaChoudhary on Twitter.

Earlier, Yuvika also issued an apology to fans, saying that she did not know the meaning of the word. She wrote, she didn't mean to hurt anyone.
