After two years of being away from the silver screen, Dangal actor Zaira Wasim shared a photo on her Instagram page on Tuesday. In the image, Zaira can be seen in a burqa, standing on a bridge with her back facing the camera. She captioned the image, "The warm October sun".
Zaira had announced in 2019 that she is quitting acting as she was unhappy with her occupation. Zaira had said that her profession did not align with her faith. Later in 2020, the Dangal girl made a heartfelt request to her fans and followers to remove her photos from social media as she embarks on a new life.
Zaira rose to fame when she played a young Geeta Phogat in Aamir Khan-starrer 'Dangal'. The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also starring Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra went on to become one of the most successful films of all time.
Zaira Wasim was last seen in Shonali Bose’s 'The Sky is Pink' which also starred Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar.
