Air conditioner can make your skin dry

Air conditioning can have significant effects on your skin. The dry, artificial air produced by air conditioners can strip moisture from your skin, leading to dryness, irritation, and even exacerbating conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Prolonged exposure to air conditioning can also weaken the skin's natural barrier function, making it more susceptible to environmental damage and pollutants.

Prevent skin dryness skin from air conditioner

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
  • Use a humidifier in the room where the air conditioner is running to add moisture to the air.
  • Apply moisturizer regularly, especially after showering or washing your face, to lock in moisture and maintain the skin's natural barrier function.
