Apple has announced the eighth-generation version of its most-affordable iPad. The entry-level iPad 2020 is exactly the same as its predecessor but now comes with a faster A12 Bionic chipset that brings Apple’s “Neural Engine for next-level machine learning capabilities”. Apple claims the new iPad has 40 per cent faster CPU and twice the graphics performance than the previous generation. It features a 10.2-inch Retina display with big bezels and a home button for the Touch ID. Like the iPad Air 2020, it supports Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard and runs the latest iPadOS 14 features out-of-the-box. The budget iPad starts at ₹29,900 for the 32GB storage Wi-Fi model and ₹41,900 for the cellular model. Indian availability hasn’t been announced yet.
