Seattle-based online retail giant Amazon has announced plans for a new shopfront for luxury brands. The store within a store titled 'Luxury Stores' will be open to select Prime Amazon Members. The new portal will be a part of the Amazon site but users can access only if they have received an invitation to join. You can, however, request an invitation on the website. Fashion brand Oscar de la Renta is the first high-end brand to have partnered with the retailer for the new project. More brands will be rolled out soon and will reportedly be allowed 'to independently make decisions regarding their inventory, selection and pricing.'
