After facing a massive blow amid the Covid-19 outbreak, the hospitality sector maybe exploring newer options to suit the new normal. In Bengaluru, restaurateur's are shifting to cloud kitchens, also called ghost kitchen, which are commercial set ups that cater to delivery-only meals. Since the footfall for dine-in eateries remains low, restaurant owners decided to take the eatery on wheels to the customers' doorstep. A few of them have also begun online catering services while following all safety protocols. Among the hotels and restaurants adopting this new model are IDC Hotels and Metropole Hotel in Bengaluru.
