10 dead, several injured as rain wreaks havoc in Maharashtra

10 deaths have been reported in Maharashtra's Marathwada due to heavy rainfall. 

More than 200 farm animals and 28 houses, including thatched ones, were partially or fully damaged as torrential rains continued to lash central Maharashtra. 

Several acres of agricultural crops have been damaged as well.

Separately, one person was reported dead and 3 missing since a bus skid off the road on the Nagpur-Nanded route.

The Indian Meterological Department has sounded a high alert for heavy rainfall in Maharashtra for the 29th and 30th September
