- Amazon advanced it's Great Indian Festival sale to the same as rival Flipkart to kickstart on October 3.
- Flipkart over the weekend made the first move to reschedule its own Big Billion Days sale from October 7 to October 3 to counter Amazon which had initially announced the kick off on October 4.
- Flipkart will be running its Big Billion Days sale for eight days, instead of six, with the sale closing on October 10 .
- Amazon has not announced when the sale period will end.
