An expensive date and how! Someone (clearly someone very rich) bid $19 billion dollars (Rs 148 crores) to have lunch with Warren Buffett as the investment guru auctioned time with him in support of a charity for one last time. The lucky winner has still not been disclosed.
Buffett, the world's seventh-richest man has been 'selling' lunch date with him for the last 2 decades and donating the money to charity. An eBay spokeswoman said the lunch was the most expensive item ever sold on the company’s website to benefit charity.

In fact, if you see in terms of value, the price of auction has gone up nearly 4 times since the last auction three years ago. Justin Sun, the founder of cryptocurrency company Tron, won the bidding in 2019, paying nearly $4.6 million to dine with Buffett, topping the previous record by over $1 million.
Buffett, 91, the chairman and chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway, has raised more than $53.2 million for Glide in the 21 auctions, which began in 2000.
