Nvidia has now edged out Microsoft and Apple. With $3.3 trillion market Capitalisation, Nividia has become the world's most valuable company. Nvidia's rise has also contributed to lift Nasdaq to a seventh straight record close.
The company achieved a growth of 3.92% and the stock is hovering around $136. This achievement comes shortly after Nvidia overtook Apple, the previous second-place holder. This year, the stock soared by about 173%, starkly contrasting with Microsoft's 19% increase.
In just five months, its market capitalization jumped from $1.21 trillion on January 6, 2024, to its current value of $3.326 trillion
Nvidia has seen soaring demand for its semiconductors which are used to power artificial intelligence applications. The firm's revenue also more than tripled in the last quarter from the same period a year earlier.
Nvidia's data centre revenue which includes AI-related products and services, has now surpassed its video game revenue. The firm has also introduced two new platforms Blackwell Platform and Rubin Platform that could revolutionize computing.
