Mark Zukerberg's Meta may be threatening to pull out Facebook and Instagram from EU over data norms but French and German economy ministers shrugged off the threat.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday the French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said "I can assure you that you can live well without Facebook, and that we could live very well without Facebook."He added: "Tech Giants need to know that the European continent will resist and impose its sovereignty."

“After being hacked I’ve lived without Facebook and Twitter for four years and life has been fantastic,” German Economy Minister Robert Habeck told reporters as well.
