Bengal CM Mamata ruled out claims of political violence in West Bengal and said such allegations are all “BJP’s gimmick.”

Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar had written to Mamata Banerjee complaining about her government’s alleged inaction in cases of post-election violence a day after a delegation of BJP MLAs led by Suvendu Adhikari met him to discuss the deterioration of law and order in the state

Mamata asserted that the claims made were completely “baseless”.

Meanwhile, Mamata refused to comment on the Governor's official tour to meet senior BJP ministers, including Amit Shah, and President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi.
