Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been ranked 32nd in the list of the 100 most powerful Indian personalities, released by The Indian Express.

This marks a significant jump from his 61st position last year, reflecting his growing influence in Indian politics.

The Indian Express attributed Dhami’s rise in the rankings primarily to his successful implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand. The report highlights that Uttarakhand’s UCC has set an example for other states, with Gujarat already forming a committee to explore its implementation.

Political Stability Under Dhami’s Leadership

The newspaper also credited Dhami’s leadership for restoring political stability in Uttarakhand. Between 2017 and 2022, the state saw frequent changes in chief ministers, but under CM Dhami, stability has returned. His efforts in boosting tourism through the National Games were also praised.
