With the Aam Aadmi Party snatching the Municipal Corporation of Delhi from the Bharatiya Janata Party's grip, the saffron party claimed that there were many negative take-aways for the winning side.
BJP's Shehzad Poonawala tweeted that AAP's vote share was down by 12% as compared to the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections.
He added that the MCD elections saw voting against "corrupt" ministers of AAP as the party lost majority of wards in areas of Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, and Kailash Gahlot.

Meanwhile, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia thanked the people of Delhi for voting his party to victory in the MCD polls and said it was their mandate that helped it defeat the "world's biggest and most negative party".
