Gujarat election: Watch what PM Modi said after casting vote in Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media after casting his vote for the Gujarat elections. He thanked voters in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi for participating in the "festival of democracy".

PM Modi also congratulated the Election Commission for "grand organisation of elections in a way that Indian democracy's prestige rises in the world". He called the ongoing elections as a "great example" of the EC's efforts.

PM Modi earlier cast his vote at Nishan Public School in Ranip in the second and final phase of polling in Gujarat. He led the BJP's campaign in his home state, with a plethora of roadshows and rallies.

Results will be declared on 8 December.
