Amit Shah sounded the poll bugle for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Attacking the ruling TMC and Mamata Banerjee, Amit Shah said that if Bengal wants to uproot the 'corrupt' party from the state then it has to elect Narendra Modi as prime minister again in 2024.

He said the process of removing Mamata Banerjee from power in the 2026 West Bengal elections has to begin with the election of Modi as PM again in 2024.

Shah also targeted the Bengal chief minister for opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act and accused her of minority appeasement.
