BJP MP Navnit Rana booked for 'vote for Congress means vote for Pakistan' remark

BJP's firebrand MP Navnit Ravi Rana has been booked for her remarks against the Congress at a
campaign event in the state, on Thursday. 

According to ANI, an FIR against Rana has been registered at Shadnagar police station in the state. Rana is seeking a fresh term from the Amravati constituency of Maharashtra in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. 

Canvassing for fellow BJP candidate Madhvi Latha, who is contesting the Hyderabad Lok
Sabha seat, Navnit allegedly made every vote cast in favour of the Congress will be a "vote for Pakistan" remark. 

The police acted on a complaint filed by an officer of the FST flying squad, Krishna Mohan who is currently on election duty in the state, as reported by ANI. 

Further, the agency said Rana has been booked under Section 188 of the IPC.

Earlier on Wednesday, the BJP MP stoked a huge controversy and attacked the Owaisi brothers, issuing them a '15 seconds warning'
