The BJP slammed Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejaswi Yadav for having a fish during 'Navaratri'. BJP minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday called Tejashwi a 'seasonal Sanatani', saying that the former deputy chief minister was doing appeasement politics.

Singh's reaction came after Tejashwi Yadav posted a video of him and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni having fish in a helicopter after campaigning.

BJP claimed that Tejashwi Yadav had the fish during Navratri. However, Tejashwi Yadav mentioned in the video caption that it was from April 8. He posted the video on X on April 9, on the first day of Navratri.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh further said that 'they do politics of appeasement wearing the mask of Sanatan'.
