Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday invited BJP MP Varun Gandhi to join the party after he was not named as a Lok Sabha candidate from his current constituency Pilibhit.
Chowdhury said that the party leaders will be happy if Varun Gandhi joins the Congress.
He also said that the BJP had not given him a ticket because he is related to the Gandhis.
'He should come here. We would be happy. He is an educated man. He has a clean image. BJP denied him a ticket because he is related to the Gandhi family. I think he should come,' the Congress leader told reporters.
