Congress candidate from Northeast Delhi Kanhaiya Kumar was allegedly attacked with ink on Friday by some people in the constituency.

The incident happened outside the AAP office in the New Usmanpur area as Kahnhaiya was coming out after a party meeting with local Councillor Chhaya Sharma.

While the attack came as a shock for the Congress candidate, he soon composed himself amid sloganeering by his supporters.

A video of heavily garlanded Kumar being carried by his supporters is doing rounds on social media.

The video shows the ex-JNU student climbing a top car and doing an iconic gesture of a thigh slap done by slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Polling in the national capital will take place on May 25 in the sixth phase of election.
