Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saying that the RJD leader riding helicopters, an apparent reference to Tejashvi Yadav, will go to jail after the Lok Sabha elections.

"His (Modi's) guarantee is that Tejashwi will be sent to jail after elections. How can he send him to jail? This is a legal process. This means the law works as per his directions," said Sibal.

"I have been saying investigating agencies work for him. This has been proved now. This is his confession that one can be arrested on his directions," added Sibal.

Addressing a rally in Bihar Modi had said, "Once the season of helicopter rides is over, there will be jail. Then the 'shehzada' (crown prince) will get busy protecting his inheritance (amaanat) and seeking bail (zamaanat)."

Meanwhile, Yadav also responded to Modi's "threat".

"He (PM Modi) is coming here and threatening us that he will send us to jail...Is he (PM Modi) above the court...This has been proved that agencies are working according to him... Do agencies have no value...'Isko chod do, usko utha lo, yahi kam hai PM Modi ka...This person has destroyed all the government institutions," said Yadav.
