As Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied indulging in communal politics, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi listed some of his remarks which he said were targeted at Muslims.

"Who is the prime minister calling infiltrators? Who are the women giving birth to 'more children'? Which community do they belong to? Who will be given the 'mangalsutra' snatched from the necks of Hindu sisters? To the aliens? So, he is saying all this to the Muslims. Who said '80-20'? Who talked about 'shamshan-kabristan'? Who asked to identify people by their clothes? Love jihad, Nupur Sharma...who are these? Bulldozers...Abuses are hurled at 'dharam sansads'. The complete [responsibility] goes to the prime minister," said Owaisi.

Earlier, addressing a rally, Modi had said that he doesn't believe in appeasement politics. He said that his schemes are distributed among the people regardless of their religion.
