Speaking to reporters in Amethi on Monday, Priyanka Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held rallies and roadshows, but never really interacted with the public.
When asked about Modi's massive roadshow in his constituency Varanasi, Gandhi mocked the BJP leader's practice of waving to the masses. "Waving from the top of a vehicle does not count as interacting with the people," Gandhi said.
She went on invoke her father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, and recalled how he used to walk through villages to speak to his constituents and understand their problems.
