Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Sunday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 'God sent me for a purpose' remark saying if the PM shares a deep connection with the almighty he does not need the Constitution of India to work.
Gandhi was speaking at a public gathering in Himachal Pradesh's Nahan. The state is set to vote on June 7 in the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Taking a swipe at the PM, Rahul further said he would like to ask the PM, if he gets this feeling periodically or if is it regular.
Speaking at the rally, Rahul alleged that PM Modi waived loans worth Rs 16 lakh-crore to 22 people in 10 years but couldn't give Rs 9,000 cr for the HP monsoon disaster.
Gandhi further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of attacking the Constitution by saying the Opposition parties would abolish it.
