Speaking at a rally in Kerala's Kokhikode, Rahul Gandhi ripped into Prime Minister Narendra Modi's argument that electoral bonds were meant to bring in transparency into politics.

"I wanted to try to free elections from the clutches of black money, bring in transparency," PM Modi said, in an interview to ANI.

Rahul Gandhi cited the Supreme Court verdict that held the election funding scheme illegal, and accused the BJP of using the scheme for 'extortion' of companies.
