A video of a minor boy seeming to cast a vote during the Lok Sabha election in Berasia in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal on May 7 is going viral.

Reports suggest that the minor is the son of Vinay Mehar, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) panchayat leader. The minor accompanied his father, who took the video as the minor cast the vote, allegedly on his father's behalf.

The video was shared on the BJP leader's Facebook page. The post was deleted after the media advisor of Congress leader Kamal Nath flagged it.

Vinay Mehar also shared pictures of him with his wife and minor son from polling booth. They were showing their inked fingers.

District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh has ordered an investigation. Presiding Officer Sandeep Saini has been suspended and a FIR has been filed against the BJP leader.

The Election Commission has not yet responded to the complaints.
