Kangana Ranaut, who is running for the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, said in a TV interview that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was India's first Prime Minister. She questioned where he went after India gained independence.

This is not the first time when Kangana made a remark that went viral online. In the past, she has said that India truly became independent after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014.

Swati Maliwal, former head of the Delhi Commission for Women, shared Kangana's video and urged people to vote for educated and sensible candidates.

Vinay Mishra, an MLA from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), mocked Kangana on X, calling her a 'graduate in Quantum History.'

Kangana Ranaut was among the 111 candidates named by the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections on March 24. She has been a vocal supporter of BJP and PM Modi.
